  Extensive range of high quality vegetarian dishes, including Thai curries and freshly squeezed fruit juices. Not licenced but you can take your own bottle of wine along and they'll happily open it and provide the glasses.

  Open Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm. Hidden in the Craft Centre in Smithfield, accessed via Tib Street, this restaurant serves excellent lunches and refreshments in most interesting surroundings. Not licensed - special blackboard dishes daily.

  Open Mon-Fri from 10.00am till 7.00pm and Saturdays from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Closed Sundays. Located in the Manchester Buddhist Centre, and offering vegetarian and vegan dishes in the most peaceful setting. Good, well balanced meals at reasonable prices.

Immediately opposite the Manchester Metropolitan University, this is one of Manchester's oldest of co-operative vegetarian shops and restaurants. Licenced, and offering excellent lunches and a wide range of basic and exotic vegetarian provisions in the shop adjoining. Non-smoking, disabled access. No credit cards taken. Good for vegans.
