    This recently refurbished pub, in its uniquely dramatic location, is a high quality real ale pub for serious beer connoisseurs. Directly underneath Stockport viaduct on Heaton Lane, about 300 yards from Mersey Square and Stockport centre. No food - just excellent beers.

    Voted Stockport & South Manchester CAMRA Real Ale Pub of the Year in 1994, this converted wine shop occupies a novel site immediately beneath the bridge over which St. Petersgate runs, the main access to Stockport Market. Small and intimate, and well worth a visit for its excellent ales and atmosphere. Special brews include Sam Smith's Old Brewery Bitter, Dark Mild, and Sovereign. Open Monday-Saturday 11.30am-11.00pm, and on Sundays from 7.00pm-10.30pm. Elegant period interior with antique bar taps. Food available, and daily newspapers.

    With Real Ales from Robinson's Brewery, Hatter's Mild and Old Stockport Bitter on offer this is a popular local pub despite its "lack" of modern re-styling (which it has fortunately escaped).A very busy pub with distinctive stained glass ceilings.

    Robinson's Best Bitter, Old Stockport Bitter, Old Tom, Hatter's Mild plus several guest beers are available here. On the Stockport-Cheshire border and close to Woodford Aerodrome, it attracts many aerospace customers during the day (should we be worried?). It also attracts visitors from the Cheshire side. Large garden with rural view over the surrounding countryside.

Beers include Real Ales such as Hydes Bitter, Jeckyll's Gold Bitter as well as Hydes seasonal beers. A classically traditional 1930s pub with wood panelled walls and stained glass windows, a major venue for serious bowls and billiards players judging by the many trophies on display.

    One of several pubs in the Market Place, and like most this one serves music with its ales. Regular Wednesday to Saturday nights live bands from Jazz to Rhythm and Blues.     A Robinson's pub, former coaching inn dating back 200 years, with courtyard stables and coachhouse still intact in the courtyard behind. Always good beer and excellent home-cooked food of the highest quality.
