Jim Butler

The Artist

Jim Butler (Seamus de Buitleir) was born in Dublin in 1967, and currently lives in Manchester. As well as working as a freelance artist specialising in drawing and printmaking with both private and corporate commissions, he teaches part time on the B.A. Illustration with Animation course at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).

He has exhibited under both the Irish and English forms of his name.

A large gallery of high quality artwork can be seen on his website, most of which are for sale. His portfolio consists mostly of etchings, woodcuts, linocuts, screen prints and drawings.
