The Manchester
City Experience Museum was recently recognised for its fantastic
contribution to tourism in Manchester when it was 'Highly Commended'
in the "small visitor attraction of the year" category
at the Manchester Tourism Awards 2004. Manchester Evening News
described it as "...the best show in town".
This is the
second major accolade to date for the Museum as the "Experience"
was shortlisted for an Award For Excellence at the Museums
& Heritage Awards - the only sporting attraction ever
to be shortlisted.
The Manchester
City Experience - Museum & Stadium Tour combines the rich
sporting history of Manchester City Football Club with a 75 minute
tour of the awe inspiring City of Manchester Stadium.
The Tour includes
the Box Level, the Corporate Lounge, the Directors' Box, Dressing
Room, the Walk of Pride / Players' Tunnel, Warm-up room, Press
facilities, the Pitch Side and Dugouts.
The Experience
begins at the club museum which encapsulates its 125 year history
and the fanaticism that it has inspired.
You can try
your hand at being the next John Motson by commentating on glorious
goals from City's past, relive the greatest moments on the Video
Jukebox, or simply spend your time examining some of the club's
extensive memorabilia.
Or, if you
prefer, simply soak up the atmosphere with your behind-the-scenes
tour of the City of Manchester Stadium.
Your guide
will give you an insight into the day-to-day activities of the
club, allowing you to glimpse what really goes on! Walk in the
footsteps of your favourite players down by the pitch or admire
the grandeur of the building from one of the executive lounges.

The Experience
is open daily (except match days) and bookings can be made by
calling 0870 062 1894. Daily opening at the following times (except
on match days):
Monday: 12.00
noon, 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Tuesday-Saturday: 10.00, 12.00 noon,
2.00pm and 4.00pm.
Sunday:
12.00 noon, 2.00pm or 11.00, 1.00pm and, 3.00pm (Subject to bookings
& availability).
These times
can vary and can be confirmed at time of booking. Additional tours
are available subject to demand.
Admission:
£7.50 (adults) & £4.50. Concessions - under 16,
Over 65, students with valid ID and registered disabled. Group
