"cottage" pub is a favourite with the south Manchester student
crowds. The bowling green-beer garden is a great attraction
on summer evenings. Good beer, including Marston's Bitter, Pedigree,
Owd Rodger and guest beers, and food in an intimate (if busy)
atmosphere.

to the student campus of Manchester University. A wide selection

Tetleys and Stones bitters available. Hidden behind Rusholme's
Wilmslow Road so-called "curry mile", this traditional
old pub was formerly the haunt of BBC personnel (whose studios
were once around the corner in Dickenson Road) and of the wrestling
fraternity as it was once owned by the Sinclair's, one-time
champion wrestling family, before their retirement to Tenerife.
