There are many opportunities to play and watch Softball in games organised by Manchester Softball League. As well as organising weekly league games for teams based in the Manchester area, the MSL also hosts teams from across the UK at an annual invitational tournament held in August. Additionally, MSL hosts national tournaments organised by BaseballSoftballUK, the United Kingdom governing body.
The League uses the facilities at the University Sportsgrounds, wythenshawe for its games. League games are played on Tuesday and Wednesday evening throughout the season, which runs from April to September.
There are currently twenty teams playing in three divisions, playing from entry level to national ‘A’ standard. New players are always welcome. Tournaments are played from 9am to 5pm over two day weekends, and entry for spectators is free.

MSL rents pitches at the University Sportsgrounds, near to Junction 5 of the M60.

The Aardvarx

How aboiut taking on a new sport? Here's your invitation to come and try out Softball. It's a cross between Rounders and Baseball.
Its a cross between Rounders and Baseball and we play a mixed sex team of 5 males and 5 females.
The Aardvarx are a 3rd Division Softball Team in the Manchester Softball League.
We invite anyone, both female and male, (over the age of 18), to come along and try out this very social sport. We play from April to September and invite you to attend our practice session on Monday nights. Games start at 7:00pm, although we meet up from 6:15 for pre-match practice and warm up.
We can provide coaching and game equipment.Our League games are played on Tuesday nights,
commencing 29th April through to end of August
We play at Parrs Wood School in Didsbury. Just ask for the Aardvarx's!
