The Rubicon Palace Hotel is officially rated as 4 stars and offers Half Board and All Inclusive holiday hotel accommodation.
The hotel is located in the southern part of the island of Lanzarote, in Playa Blanca, a traditional fishing village. On the sea front with direct access to the sea from each side of the Hotel, plus excellent views of the Islands of Fuerteventura and Lobos. The hotel is located ten kilometres from the famous beaches of Papagayo.

Accommodation

The property consists of a total of 584 rooms, including 38 junior suites. All rooms have direct dial telephones, air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar (with charge) and a safety deposit box (also has a local charge) and a full bathroom with hair dryer. Rooms are available for non-smokers and there are also special rooms with the basic preparation for the handicapped. CLUB PALACE: Double rooms and Junior Suite rooms in seafront villas with special services: VIP amenities, bathrobes, facilities for coffee and tea, &á la carte choice of pillows, wooden sunloungers on terrace or balcony, welcome detail on arrival and newspapers; exclusive restaurant with &á la carte service at dinner (see below).

Food & Beverage

There are four restaurants: One main buffet restaurant (offering buffet and themed specialities with attending chef), *La Choza pool bar/restaurant (lunch service on the outdoor terrace beside the pool, cold snacks), *Venecia Restaurant (charged locally; serving International specialities, located in the typical Canary Island square in the complex (subject to availability and with reservation). Selection of Snacks is available throughout the day. There is also a Disco Bar , *Beefeater English Pub (smoking area, entrance allowed to 16 years old and up), Coco-Loco Tropical Bar and Piano Bar serving various locally produced alcoholic drinks including local beer and wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee and water (selected bars and drinks are chargeable). Piano Bar accompanied by live music at night time in the incomparable setting of the lounge. *Not included in All Inclusive.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The All Inclusive programme consists of breakfast (08:00-10:30), lunch (13:00-15:00) and dinner (18:30-21:30 during Winter & 19:00-22:00 during Summer), all served buffet style in the Principal restaurant (hot & cold buffet with attending chef). Continental breakfast is from 10:30-12:00 at the Pool bar 'La Choza'. Dinner is also available at the barbecue restaurant 'La Choza De Noche' from 19:00-22:00. This restaurant serves A la Carte with starters, salad buffet & grilled meats (available once per week reservation required). During meals drinks from the 'AI menu' are offered. Snacks including pizzas, hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches are available from 12:00-15:30 at the 'La Choza' as well as cakes, cold sandwiches and ice cream from 15:30-17:30. Cold sandwiches are also offered at the Piano bar from 18:00-24:00. AI drinks such as soft drinks, beer, aperitifs, sherry, long drinks, cocktails, whiskey, wine, hot drinks, coffee, tea, liqueurs, brandy and spirits like tequila, vodka, rum, etc are served at the 'La Choza' from 10:00-18:00, the Piano bar from 10:00-24:00 and the Disco bar from 20:00-01:00.

Sports & Leisure

There are six swimming pools in the gardens (one of them acclimatised up to max. 24° C in winter season), two fresh water children's pools as well as various areas and lounges to enjoy the sunshine (all equipped with sunshades), towel service (extra charge), international diving centre at a local charge, children's playground and mini-club for children from 4 to 12 years old . Sports Centre with: multi-use court, mini-golf, archery, shooting range, ping-pong, French bowls, giant chess, darts, games room, billiard hall (extra charge), dancing classes, theme parties and an entertainment programme for adults and children (six days per week) to make any stay more enjoyable. You can enjoy dancing to live music or DJ at the Montaña Roja Disco Bar with entertainers.

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Facilities at the hotel include table games, day and evening animation programme, evening shows, gym, tennis (1 hour free of charge), mini-golf (half hour free of charge), mini-club (children from 4 until 12 Years old), mini-disco and children's playground. Reservations of tennis and mini-golf are subject to availability and must be made in advance. One session each of tennis and mini-golf per room per holiday is free of charge.

Chargeable Extras

All other Hotel services and facilities not included above are excluded from the AI programme and are subject to charges (e.g. telephone calls, mini-bar, safe, internet corner, thalasso Centre, etc.). The Beefeater Pub is not included in the AI concept. It is open between 11:00 hrs and 02:00 hrs where national and international beverages can be purchased. The &Á La Carte Restaurant 'Venecia' is not included in the AI programme as well.

All Inclusive General Information

Guests on the All Inclusive programme will be identified by a coloured plastic wristband. The Hotel Management reserve the right to modify the programme of the evening shows depending on the season.

Facilities & Services

There are ten lifts (two with panoramic views over the sea), two conference rooms with partitions for up to 520 visitors, hairdressing salon, boutique / kiosk, library, laundry service at a local charge, parking area (without surveillance), currency exchange, car hire and day and evening excursions. The Thalasso - Therapy Centre (charged locally; entrance allowed to 16-year olds and up) offers hot bath, sea water river, waterfall, Jacuzzi, flower bath, Turkish bath, cold water well, cromotherapy room, covered heated water zone with waterfalls, water streams and bubbles, fitness and aerobic rooms, beauty area, massages and changing rooms.

Useful Information on Distances

The hotel is located 35 km from Arrecife airport (ACE), therefore would take about 45 minutes in a taxi. Capital - Port with connections to Fuerteventura: 3.5 km. Timanfaya National Park: 25 km.
