The Artist
Ethan Ford
was born 1973 in Manchester where he still lives. He left school
with Grade ‘A’ GCSE passes in Art, Design Communication
& Design Realisation.
However, Ethan
did not pursue his art education, but went on to develop his artwork
over the next twenty years, particularly developing an interest
in black and white art into a pen and ink technique called "stippling".
He has now
moved his focus onto another pen and ink technique - crosshatch.
Ethan’s
main subject matter is motorsport. Other than his art, he is fanatical
about anything relating to motorsport. He feels the crosshatching
style suits the motorsport theme in that it creates a more dynamic
sense of motion in the drawing. But he can turn his hand to most
subjects, from landscapes to portraits as well as wildlife and
motorsport.
At present
Ethan is striving to develop his artistic skills further. He is
planning to arrange several exhibitions in the very near future.
He is also open to commission requests.
