are many opportunities to play and watch Lacrosse at the Club. The
two Men’s teams play in the Premier Division of the North of England
Old Waconians came to Didsbury relatively recently they are now an
integral part of the Club. The playing surface at Didsbury is excellent
and the clubhouse atmosphere is great.
name is derived from “Warehousemen and Clerks School” (WACS) which
later became Cheadle Hulme Grammar School. Old Wacs enjoy professional
coaching which is available to all player. They have a well developed
relationship with Manchester City at “The Dome” and use their excellent
has enabled many members to attain representational honours at County
and National level. Old WACS are active in recruiting young people
into lacrosse through their promotion of ‘pop lacrosse’ in local primary
schools which culminates in an annual tournament at the Club. New
members welcome.


Didsbury Greys Women’s Hockey Team are based at Didsbury Cricket Club
on Wilmslow Road in Didsbury and plays successfully in Division 2
of the Northern League.
The team use the Belle Vue Water Pitches for training and for home
matches. At
present they have three teams: the first team play in the first division
of the North League, their second team play in the first division
of the Lancashire League, and the 3rd team play in division 4 of the
Manchester League.
The teams have room for players of all levels who have aquired basic
hockey skills and knowledge of the game.This includes juniors who
wish to move onto the senior stage and seniors who would like to take
hockey up again after a break. The club is currently looking to develop
further and welcomes new players.

Cricket Club stands on Wilmslow Road near to its junction with Parrs
Wood Road. It is close to East Didsbury Railway Station and near to
Parrs Wood Bus Station.

run 6 mens teams, and 6 ladies teams, as well as implementing a strong
juniors programme. We are a friendly, sociable club offering everything
from Northern Div 1 Hockey to more social games, playing in south
Manchester (Fallowfield and Didsbury) You will find members of DNHC
are extreme social animals and the 4 social secretaries are kept very
busy keeping everyone entertained.
