Lying as it does due north of Manchester, Bury borders open Lancashire countryside and is thereby an appropriate base for touring south Lancashire, and connected directly by the Metrolink Rapid Transit Tram system, it is no more than 20 minutes from Manchester city centre.

South of the town in Prestwich is Fairways Lodge &
Leisure Club, (formerly the Village Hotel & Leisure Club) located
on George Street. This 3 star 40 bedroom hotel offers a range of meeting
and conference facilities and on-site has the Village Pub. It also has
a sauna, steam room and a whirlpool spa as well as a fully equipped
fitness studio. Weddings can be catered and civil ceremonies arranged

Also in Prestwich is La Suisse Service Apartments,
