    The Baum restaurant and wine bar is situated on Toad Lane, home of
    the Co-op and the Pioneer movement. Situated on a cobbled street at
    the centre of Rochdale’s heritage trail, the pub has a definite ‘old

    and a dining menu prepared freshly on the premises.

    Thee Olde Boars Head is an old black and white timber structure
    said to date from 1587. Part of a row of ancient cottages, it operated
    as a coaching inn and Bonnie Prince Charlie is said to have taken
    refuge at the inn in 1745 as well as Dick Turpin, said to have stopped
    over on his way to York. Local radical and reformer Sam Bamford

    the J D Wetherspoon nationwide chain, expensively refurbished with
    spacious areas. Largely dedicated to food, with an extensive menu

    steaks), with a smattering of ethnic dishes like baltis, pasta and
