all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world".
Rotary Clubs exist in more than 160 countries worldwide with around
1.2 million members in over 30,000 Rotary clubs.
Rotract Clubs
in Greater Manchester
Rotract is an
arm of the Rotary Club aimed at young people b etween 18 and 30 years
of age. There are over 130 Rotract Clubs in the United Kingdom and
in Ireland with over 3000 members, and there are over 6000 Clubs worldwide.
Rotaractors (as the club members are known) can make significant difference
in their local communities by organising and running such events as
raising funds for charities or helping the elderly. Clubs also hold
regular events, organised on an individual Club basis, and include
things like discos, quiz nights and dinner dances. They offer good
opportunities to meet new and like-minded people.
