Rathbone's Special Education Advice Lines are open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday on freephone 0800 917 6790 and 0800 085 4528 to speak in Urdu, Punjabi, Gujierati, Bengali and Hindi. The Advice Line is a national service based in Manchester providing parents with free, independent advice and information on education, helping parents to get an education appropriate to their child's needs, including:

  • Appeals and Tribunal
  • Annual Reviews
  • Finding a School
  • School Admissions
  • School Exclusion
  • Different types of special needs
  • Education law and procedures

The Advice Line will also provide an independent analysis of a child's statement and can aid parents in appealing to a tribunal or independent committee. The Advice Line is co-ordinated by Rifiat Jadwat and run by trained volunteers.
