Recently redecorated and with new tenants, this pub excels in guest and real ales, with an ever-changing selection available. Serves Deuchars (house ale), Jennings Cumberland, Charles Wells Bombardier, Fullers London Pride, Adnams Broadside & Regatta, (to name a few), and has a large ever-changing guest ale rotation in process sampling ales from around the country.

    Open Mon-Sat 11.30am-11.00pm and Sundays from 12noon - 10.30pm. Holts Mild and Bitter Ales served here. A large comfortable Edwardian-built pub, mecca for visitors to nearby Heaton Park on hot summer days, served as a synagogue during the Second World War. Pleasant recent refurbishment has made it a pleasant place in which to eat and drink at a reasonable price. Now offering banquetting and conference facilities - please enquire.
