Manchester's China Town has what is thought to be one of the largest Chinese communities outside of China and possibly the largest in Europe. Therefore, the city and region naturally boast a large number of Chinese, Eastern and other Oriental restaurants and cuisines. Whilst there are many located centrally in China Town there are innumerable others to be found in the wider surrounding region of Greater Manchester.
Several styles of Chinese cuisine have emerged as popular around the world, each originating in a different regions of China. The most popular traditional Chinese dishes include sweet & sour dishes, crispy duck and dim sums, and food styles includes Szechwan, Pekingese and Cantonese cuisines.
